kbb Birmingham Is Celebrating International Women’s Day

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we shared sneak peak into an article from our partner, KBB Focus, who we’ve teamed up with to interview leading women from the industry to get their input on what this day means to them. 

kbb Birmingham was delighted to be supporting International Women’s Day 2022, which on Tuesday 8th March and is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This just so happens to fall on the third day of our event, making it even the more important to triumph the day and what it stands for. 

#BreakTheBias 

This year the UN has created a campaign called #BreakTheBias calling for a gender equal world that is free from bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. For the KBB industry, International Women’s Day is an important day to celebrate as it is still a very male dominated space. 

Cast Your Vote

kbb Birmingham will be recognising women in the industry through a social campaign leading up to show as well as profiling leading females from the KBB industry. Over the next few weeks, we will be publishing a poll across social and elsewhere asking for people to nominate their most inspirational woman from the KBB industry, with the winner announced during the show. 

kbb Birmingham will also host a free drinks reception at the bar at 12 noon on Tuesday 8th to mark the day with free drinks for female attendees. Cast your vote here for your most inspiring female figure from the KBB Industry. We want to know who you think is changing the industry for the better and is leading the way for the next generation.

To help spread our message, we have teamed up with KBB Focus who have been investigating this topic by interviewing five high-profile women from the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry.
