With an impressive 280 square metre stand, RAK Ceramics will be celebrating a return to colour in the bathroom at kbb Birmingham. To be found on Stand E96 in Hall 20, the world-renowned ceramics brand is set to launch the brand new RAK-Feeling: a sanitaryware collection in a range of unique colours.
In a sanitaryware market dominated by white, RAK Ceramics is the first manufacturer to launch colour into its portfolio in the UK with major intent. As consumers move to embrace the use of colour in bathroom design to communicate individual flair and personality, RAK-Feeling will offer consumers the freedom to express themselves through a choice of luxurious Griege, Cappuccino, Grey and Matt Black tones, alongside White sets.
Eminent designers, Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà, Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri, who have collaborated with RAK Ceramics on their own unique ranges, are all set to appear on the stand.
Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà’s collaboration with RAK begins with RAK-Cloud. Comprising a variety of basins, toilets and freestanding baths, the unique Rak Cloud design was inspired by the elegance and beauty of the changing shapes of clouds. Creating a soft and graceful design look, the range sits in perfect harmony with Scutella’s earlier projects – most notably, his acclaimed ‘Pirce’ lamp collection with Artemide (Good Design 2008, Red Dot Award 2009, IF Design Award 2010) and the “Metropolis” collection of crystal and ceramic tables by Tonelli Design.
On the subject of his design process, Scutella comments “I like to talk with the soul of all my projects, discover its history and capturing the most hidden hues of its character, respecting its nature and embracing its languages. It is my way of approaching its magical essence and becoming its interpreter."
Winners of multiple international design awards and co-founders of their own design studio, esteemed designers Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri are also set to present their RAK-Variant collaboration on the stand. Sporting the taglines ‘made to imagine’ and ‘what’s the shape of your freedom?’, the RAK-Variant collection opens up limitless possibilities for customised solutions, encouraging consumers to break the mould and indulge their imaginations when designing their unique bathroom spaces.
