The Kitchen Education Trust launches at KBB Birmingham

The Kitchen Education Trust (TKET) will be formally launched in the purpose-built KBB Birmingham Arena at the centre of the exhibition on Monday 7 March 2016 between 4-5pm

TKET has been set up to provide a link between the kitchen industry and higher education and acts as an intermediary for the kitchen sector in the award of scholarships to successful applicants. All students that are selected for admission to the course are eligible for consideration, and the details of these packages vary according to the individual sponsor.

Key sponsors, supporters, students and Buckinghamshire New University staff will be in attendance at the launch and TKET will present an overview of the current Foundation Degree in Kitchen Design course at Bucks New University and host an open forum to discuss what the kitchen industry wants and needs from higher education. Details of how members of the wider kitchen sector can get involved will be available at the launch.

Through the creation of TKET, all the relevant stakeholders can contribute to the success of the Foundation Degree course, thus improving the status of kitchen design across the sector. Companies are encouraged to contact TKET at KBB Birmingham 2016 to find out how they can make a difference.
