New Trust For Kitchen Industry, The Kitchen Education Trust

28/01/2016

Key members of the kitchen industry, including, Blanco, BlumUK, BSH, Egger, Hettich UK, Miele and Roundhouse have given their support and backing to the formation of a new body to represent education in the kitchen business. The Kitchen Education Trust (TKET) provides the kitchen industry with a formal platform to assist with the Foundation Degree in Kitchen Design at Bucks New University.

The purpose of the Kitchen Education Trust is to formalise the Industry's involvement with the kitchen design degree course and to raise the profile of the course within the industry, as well as raising funds to be distributed to causes related to kitchen design education.   The Kitchen Education Trust will help shape the degree course content via the University's Industry Advisory Panel; to assist in bringing a greater level of professionalism to students entering the business and ensure the course best meets the needs of today’s multi-million pound industry.

Now in its second year, the award-winning kitchen design course is a three-year distance learning, work related degree, with financial backing to potential students offered through a number of scholarships, supported by leading kitchen industry partners.
